The Executive Branch
I am greasy
And stern
Like a single pepperoni
On the president’s face
My heart is so pure
You could scrub a plate
With it.
First Position
Color wheel
Start eating
Fuck you
Lift it
With your toes
Work out
Once in a while
Fuck you
Goof
Everybody
Thinks I’m joking
So they laugh
I’m gonna start
Some naked drama
I’m a partying diversion
A self-hating queer showboat
The woman-loving
Straight male cipher
I’m a big distraction
I spill coffee on the code
And it becomes decoded
I spill liquor on the poem
And it becomes written
And I’ve got this soupy pen
In my back pocket
Inking my ass
Smearing my stain
All over the furniture
And I say Oh I’m so sorry
But I don’t offer
To pay
Manic II
Can a
Line be
‘Poorly drawn’
No, a line
Is always
Correct
I am
A line
Drawn
From heaven
A mini
Tinsel
Noose
Wrapped around
The neck
Of the
World
I am Everything
I am not
A boat-maker nor
A stud dog.
I am not
A talented draftsman.
I’m barely a man.
So what
I still declare
My victory
To the vapid, rattling earth
